Terms of service
These terms cover the SnipVault application, the free trial, and any licence you buy. Plain English, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Who you are contracting with
SnipVault is published by DPR Software Labs OPC Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means the person or organisation using SnipVault.

The free trial
Every installation starts with a 7-day trial of the full application. No account and no card are needed. The trial runs from the first launch on a Mac and does not restart if the app is deleted and installed again. When it ends, capture, screenshot OCR, snippet expansion, and pasting from the vault pause until a licence is activated. Nothing you captured is deleted, and it is all there again the moment a licence is activated.
What a licence grants you
A licence is a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SnipVault on up to three Macs that you own or control at the same time. You may move a licence between Macs by deactivating it on one and activating it on another. Every plan includes every feature; plans differ only in how you pay.
- Monthly ($2.49 per month) and Annual ($29.99 per year) are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel, and the licence stays valid while the subscription is active.
- Lifetime ($79 once) is a single payment. It never expires, never renews, and includes all future updates to SnipVault, including major versions.
Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the pricing page. Tax may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
Subscriptions and cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time from the receipt or customer portal link in your purchase email, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future renewals; the licence keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. All sales are final; the licensing and cancellation policy forms part of these terms.
What you may not do
- Share, resell, sublicense, or publish a licence key
- Circumvent licence validation or the trial, or use a key on more Macs than it allows
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded
- Redistribute the application as your own or as part of another product
Licence validation
Activating a licence sends the key and this Mac's name to our payment processor to confirm it is valid. See the privacy policy for exactly what is transmitted. A validated licence works offline for 14 days before it re-checks. A licence that has expired, been cancelled, or been deactivated stops unlocking the app, and the app returns to its locked state until a valid key is entered.
Your data, and the limits of what we can promise
SnipVault stores your clipboard history on your Mac. You are responsible for your own backups; keep Time Machine or an equivalent running, and use the vault export in Settings if you want a portable copy. Screenshot OCR can misread characters, so check recognised numbers before you rely on them.
The software is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
System requirements and changes
SnipVault requires macOS 13 or later and the Accessibility permission to paste and expand snippets; screenshot OCR also needs Screen Recording. We may change features between releases. Where a change materially reduces what a paid licence unlocks, it will be noted in the release.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
